The Reaping Has Ended! See What The Cast Of ‘The Hunger Games’ Is Up To Now

From the Games themselves to the young woman who helped launch a revolution, The Hunger Games have been an essential part of popular culture for several years. The film franchise also served as a launching point for many of the actors and actresses involved in the films.  Now that the reaping has ended, see what the cast of The Hunger Games is up to now.

Jennifer Lawrence - Katniss Everdeen

Prior to snagging the lead role in The Hunger Games as revolutionary symbol Katniss Everdeen, Jennifer Lawrence was an up and coming actress who had just been nominated for an Academy Award for her work in Winter's Bone. Lawrence's demanding schedule while filming The Hunger Games did not slow her down, she went on to garner additional critical acclaim for her work in Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle and most recently Joy.  She even took home the Best Actress in a Leading Role Academy Award for Playbook. Up next, Lawrence will be seen in the highly anticipated X-Men: Apocalypse and the thriller Passengers alongside Chris Pratt.
Josh Hutcherson - Peeta Mellark

We've loved Josh Hutcherson since his days starring in some of our favorite childhood films like The Polar Express and Bridge to Terabithia. However, his role as Katniss' love and fellow District 12 tribute Peeta Mellark is what catapulted Hutcherson into a entirely different level of fame. Post Hunger Games, Hutcherson has put on his producing hat, producing and starring in the film Escobar: Paradise Lost. Hutcherson has several films slated for release from now until 2017, including the James Franco directed The Long Home. The 23-year-old is a long time ally of the LGBTQ community.
Liam Hemsworth - Gale Hawthorne

Australian hottie, Liam Hemsworth's big Hollywood break was in 2010 alongside his now fiance Miley Cyrus in the romantic drama, The Last Song. Though Gale's story line didn't exactly end pleasantly in The Hunger Games, Hemsworth is still snagging major box office roles. He will be starring in the upcoming Independence Day Resurgence and By The Way Helena. Oh and if you didn't know, his big brother is Thor aka Chris Hemsworth.

Willow Shields - Primerose Everdeen

Willow Shields was just 10-years-old when she snagged the part of Katniss' younger sister Primrose in The Hunger Games franchise. It is because Prim's name was called it the reaping, that Katniss entered the games. Therefore, it was Shields' character that helped spark a revolution. Since wrapping The Hunger Games, Shields went on to compete on ABC's Dancing With the Stars, and she is currently set to star in the upcoming thriller A Fall From Grace. Elizabeth Banks - Effie Trinket

Elizabeth Banks' role as Capitol escort Effie Trinket, was a step outside the box for the actress. In the past, Banks' comedic talents shined in films like Zack and Miri Make a Porno and The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Post Hunger Games, Banks is reprising her role as director in the upcoming Pitch Perfect 3, and is also portraying Rita Repulsa in the upcoming Power Rangers reboot. Banks is also the new face for Old Navy.
Donald Sutherland - President Snow

Well before playing the diabolical President Snow, 80-year-old Donald Sutherland was a Hollywood veteran. Over the course of his 50-year-long career, he has starred in everything from Ordinary People to A Time to Kill. Post Hunger Games, Sutherland starred with his son Kiefer Sutherland in Forsaken and he is slated to star in the upcoming romantic comedy musical, Basmati Blues with Academy Award winner Brie Larson. The Canadian actor sometimes writes guest posts for The Huffington Post.

Amandla Stenberg - Rue

We all fell in love with teen sensation Amandla Stenberg when she appeared as Rue in the first installment of The Hunger Games films. Though, Rue didn't survive the first film, Stenberg has continued to be an amazing presence in popular culture as an outspoken voice on feminism and cultural appropriation. She recently graced the cover of Teen Vogue with a standout feature entitled, "Things Black Girls Are Tired Of Hearing". Acting wise, Stenberg has continued to have roles on television including Sleepy Hollow and Mr. Robinson and she will appear in the '90s set film As You Are later this year.

Long before he played the drunken mentor Haymitch Abernathy in the Hunger Games, Woody Harrelson was a household name. From his role on the long-running '80s sitcom Cheers and his Oscar nominations, Harrelson has continued to be an acting force for a new generation. While filming The Hunger Games, Harrelson starred in the first season of HBO's critically acclaimed True Detective, and this year he just appeared in the crime thriller Triple 9. Later this year, he is slated to appear in the biopic LBJ, Now You See Me: The Second Act, and War for the Planet of the Apes. Harrelson is a vegan and avid environmentalist.
Sam Claflin - Finnick Odair

The year before Sam Claflin snagged the role as the sexy Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, he starred in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. The new dad has not stopped filming since The Hunger Games came to a close last year. This year, he will appear in the tearjerker film adaptation of Me Before You, and in The Huntsman: Winter's War. Claflin is married to actress Laura Haddock.

Lenny Kravitz - Cinna

Long before he played Katniss' stylist Cinna, Lenny Kravitz was a rock-star. Though Kravitz had small cameos in films like Zoolander, his first big film role was in 2009's Precious. These days, Kravitz is focusing on his music, though he did make a cameo appearance in Zoolander 2. He also gave us an unexpected treat last year when his pants ripped on stage, and we all got an eye full. Oh and, in case you didn't know he is the father of Divergent star Zoe Kravitz.
Julianne Moore - President Alma Coin

Though she has been working in Hollywood since the early '90s, Julianne Moore began garnering critical acclaim in the late '90s and early 2000s for her work in The End of the Affair, Far From Heaven, and The Hours. After her character President Alma Coin met her grisly end at the end of The Hunger Games, Moore has taken a small break from acting, but will return in 2017 with several films including Kingsman 2. Moore has also written a series of children's books with a character named "Freckleface Strawberry".
Stanley Tucci - Caesar Flickerman

Stanley Tucci had a long and robust career long before he starred as Ceaser Flickerman in The Hunger Games. Tucci had starring roles in The Devil Wears Prada, Captain America: The First Avenger and The Lovely Bones, for which he was nominated for an Oscar. Later this year, Tucci will reunite with Mockingjay co-star Natalie Dormer in next year's Patient Zero, and will play Cadenza in 2017's Beauty and the Beast. Tucci is married to actress Emily Blunt's sister Felicity, and the duo welcomed a son Matteo Oliver in January 2015.

Natalie Dormer - Cressida

Natalie Dormer had been a television sensation long before her role as solider Cressida in The Hunger Games. From 2007-2008 Dormer played the infamous Anne Boylen on Showtime's The Tudors before snagging her role as Margaery Tyrell in HBO's Game of Thrones. Dormer has also transitioned onto the big screen, appearing in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger and in 2013's Rush. This year she will be reuniting with her Hunger Games co-star Stanley Tucci in the fantasy horror thriller, Patient Zero.
Paula Malcomson - Katniss' Mother

Though her role as Katniss and Primrose's mother in The Hunger Games saga was her first major film role, Paula Malcomson is a television acting veteran. Over the course of her lengthy career, the Irish actress has starred on everything from Deadwood and Sons of Anarchy to Ray Donovan. Presently, the actress is slated to appear in several films from now until 2017.
Wes Bentley - Seneca Crane

As a result of Katniss and Peeta's defiance, the 74th Hunger Games did not end well for Head Gamekeeper Seneca Crane. However, actor Wes Bentley ran with his success from the Hunger Games franchise.  Bentley went on to star in American Horror Story and he will be in the upcoming films Pete's Dragon and Upcoming Vows. Though Bentley initially found success after starring in 1999's American Beauty, his struggle with substance abuse caused his career to stall for some time. Luckily, Bentley is recovering, and his career is on the upswing.

RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman - Plutarch Heavensbee

The late great Philip Seymour Hoffman came into the acting world in a 1991 episode of Law & Order and his career soared from there. He played numerous outstanding characters over the course of his career including his roles in Capote, Doubt and The Master. One of Hoffman's last on-screen appearances was in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 where he played the new head gamekeeper Plutarch Heavensbee. Sadly, the Academy Award winner passed away February 2, 2014 from an accidental drug overdose. The final films in The Hunger Games franchise are dedicated to his memory. along with Lionsgate are giving away The Hunger Games Complete 4-Film Collection. The collection includes all four films and over 14 hours of bonus content including never-before-scene deleted scenes, featurettes, and audio commentaries.
