
Tuesday Daily Box Office Rally
First Place – Director Ben Affleck‘s The Town continued to excel at the domestic box office Tuesday, taking home $2.6 million from some 2,861 theaters. The crime thriller, which also stars Jeremy Renner and Jon Hamm, has exceeded expectations to gross over $28.7 million since it opened last week.
Second Place – Easy A came in second at yesterday’s box office with $1.24 million. Impressive reviews have helped the Emma Stone-starring high school comedy earn a cumulative $20 million to date.
Third Place – Milla Jovovich held off the Undead and the competition at the box office Tuesday, as her Resident Evil: Afterlife scored nearly another million dollars, for a total of over $45 million since the sci-fi actioner opened last September 10th.
