Actress Gal Gadot will reunite virtually with her Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins to help kick off the film portion of Warner Bros.’ DC FanDome event with a sequel celebration.
The inaugural Comic-Con-style festival will feature special previews and panel discussions with the stars behind the studio’s upcoming slate of releases, and Wonder Woman 1984 will be the first movie presentation on August 22, 2020.
Gadot and Jenkins will be joined by cast members Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Pedro Pascal from 10 am PT to engage with fans, while also giving them an all-new sneak peek at the blockbuster, which had its summer release delayed until October due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 24-hour event will also give devotees the chance to quiz filmmaker James Gunn about his forthcoming The Suicide Squad, while Dwayne Johnson will offer up a few details about his long-gestating Black Adam movie, and Justice League star Ezra Miller will team up with directors Andy and Barbara Muschietti to discuss his stand-alone outing as The Flash.
In addition, DC Comics devotees will receive an update on Matt Reeves‘ The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, as well as James Wan‘s Aquaman sequel, and be given a preview of Zack Snyder‘s version of 2017’s Justice League, known as the “Snyder cut“.
Meanwhile, the TV programming section of DC FanDome will include panels for the TV series The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Stargirl, and Lucifer.
