Megan Thee Stallion and Sam Hunt headlining Red Rocks Unpaused festival

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion and singer Sam Hunt are heading back to the stage to perform for a virtual three-day festival beamed live from Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheater.

Fellow artists Lil Baby, Brett Young, Phoebe Bridgers, and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats are also among those lining up for Red Rocks Unpaused, which will take place from September 1-3, 2020, with the shows starting at 7 pm PT each night.

Although there will be no in-person audience due to the coronavirus pandemic, organizers at Visible have promised it will be a “digital immersive fan experience”, which will “reimagine the historic Red Rocks Amphitheater in a way like never before, bringing the legendary entertainment venue to the homes of millions of fans from around the world who will be able to tune-in free of charge”.

It will also boast “state-of-the-art digital technology”, allowing fans to control “pyrotechnics, visuals and lighting” during each set, while they can also switch camera angles to customize their viewing.

And virtual attendees will have the opportunity to send messages to their favorite artists in real-time, with the comments displayed on the venue’s surrounding Red Rocks, as well as use their voices to cast votes to help determine each stars’ encore.

The festival will mark Megan’s second online show as she continues to recover from a July (2020) shooting drama, which left her needing surgery on her feet. She is poised to make her live comeback at a virtual gig on August 29th.
