When someone finds out I was a makeup artist for over 10 years, and then that I’m a beauty editor, there are a few questions I can count on being asked. The one I get most frequently? “What’s the best foundation for dry/oily/old/acnaic/spotty skin?” And then, before I can answer, it will be followed up with “…that’s under $20?”
Foundation that does more than the average foundation.
Here’s the thing. There are great foundations out there — tons of them, and at all price ranges. In fact, one of my favorites—Flower Beauty Foundation and Primer—is only $13. However, oftentimes, these foundations are meant to work with all kinds of extras like concealer, powder, highlighter, and skincare.
Then, there are foundations out on the market that most of us won’t even consider because of their hefty price tag. But here’s the thing: they’re totally worth it. I’ve tried just about every foundation out there and while I personally love dozens, there are only a few that I myself will actually spend money on, and at $100 a pop, you can bet I have high hopes.
And they’re all totally worth their pricetag—I swear!

They might not be for everyone, but when it comes to those of us with pesky skin (dry/oily/old/acnaic/spotty) these 10 go the extra mile to give model worthy skin (I swear!). Not only do they have skincare technology added into them, but they actually last all day on your skin, no powder needed. A few of them even work as concealers too.
