During Fashion Week (or Fashion Month as it’s often called), there’s no shortage of runway photos and front row pics. But those only capture one side of what we see at the shows every day.
Each season, a few cool photographers capture an alternative view of the runway — the insiders’ view: the piles of hair extensions backstage at Prabal Garung, the fashion spectators parked outside the shows, the slow-mo movement of a gown coming down the catwalk at Monique Lhuillier.
Sure, Fashion Week should be all about the clothes. But isn’t it also about changing your perspective?
