The last time I saw Olivia Wilde, the face of Revlon and I went on and on about our tumultuous pasts with beauty—all the mishaps, bad dye jobs, and experimenting that teenager’s in the 90s did (I personally blame My So Called Life, but we won’t get into that).
We talked about my hair (“it’s like, exactly what one thinks when they think about mermaid hair”) to her eyebrow malfunctions (“I mean, I looked like I had none!”). But, surprisingly, the one thing we didn’t touch base on was our mutual obsession with fragrance.
Wilde joins Witherspoon and Fox as the face of an Avon fragrance.
The news that Wilde would be the new face of Avon’s Today. Tomorrow. Always fragrance collection isn’t new, but the recent images of the actress looking vampier than normal are. Not surprising, however, is that Avon would tap such a gorgeous, real actress to follow in the footsteps of fellow Avon fragrance spokeswomen Reese Witherspoon and Megan Fox who both have the sheer sexiness to back up their genuiness.
We sort of see Wilde as filling the gap between the two moms—Witherspoon’s all-American girl to Fox’s Hollywood bombshell. Either way, we’re excited to see what else Avon and Wilde have in store in the name of sultry ads.
