When it comes to the Oscars red carpet, there are few givens. Well, we know that Lupita Nyong’o will continue to outdo herself (seriously, did you see her BAFTAs Dior? I’m not even going to make the Jennifer Lawrence joke because everyone else has beaten me to it). We can also safely assume that Cate Blanchett will wear something perhaps a little eccentric, but likely (and hopefully) stunning in a way that she and only she can pull off. Other than that? Your guess is as good as ours. With so many variables in play, a little speculation is fun – especially right on the heels of New York Fashion Week, and with Couture Fashion Week earlier this year.
