The Long and Short of It: Rachel Roth

I have the thickest, curliest hair you’ve ever encountered—it’s untamable. At least I thought so until I got my first Keratin treatment. It was life-changing. It has made my hair, in one word: manageable. It’s no longer as curly, frizzy, or voluminous (in a good way). Since these amazing treatments last only two to three months, I do everything I can to maintain them for as long as possible. Sulfate-free formulas being at the top of that list.

I use L’Oreal Paris Evercreme Intense Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner in the shower one to two times a week. After washing my hair, I use is Johnson & Johnson No More Tangles Detangling Spray. (Is it weird that I’ve used this product since my 20s?) It makes my hair soft and easy to brush through — so how can I give it up? The one product I cannot live without is MoroccanOil. It eliminates frizz and makes my hair super shiny. I mean, healthy-looking hair is expensive-looking hair, right? The finishing step is applying Bumble & bumble Straight Blow Dry Cream. I’m a flatiron fan and it helps smooth the curls while protecting it from the heat.
