This might be one of Diane's best red carpet looks, ever. The detailing is stone-cold gorgeous, and all the lovely jewel toned sequins seem to emit their own light.

Here's a more casual look: but of course with Chanel, you've got some elegant pearl detailing -- and exquisite tailoring.

Perhaps one of the best uses of menswear on the red carpet we've ever seen. It's a hard look to pull of, and Diane's doing it beautifully -- right down to the suspenders and polka dotted bow tie.

Diane's taste leans romantic a good deal of the time, and there's something fairy-princess-ballerina about this floaty white dress. (Incidentally, did you know Diane trained as a ballerina before turning to modeling and acting?). While the über-girly look can get overpowering, she's balanced it nicely with a dramatic smokey eye.

While the sheer trend's starting to get tired, this is perfect for the "punk" theme. Diane brought her sensibilities to the look, making this the perfect blend of ladylike punk. Those pink dip-dyed ends and smokey cat eyes are punk perfection.

Sequins, a foofy skirt, cap sleeves -- sounds like a nightmare, but Karl did Diane well in this gorgeous little number.

And who else would Diane choose to wear the year Inglourious Basterds went to the Academy Awards? Chanel, of course. This dress divided fashion critics, but we think Diane is pulling it off in a way few others could do.

I don't think any other grown woman can pull of this silhouette as well as Diane here: she flourishes with a defined waist and a voluminous skirt (see Cannes 2012 for reference).
