Are you unhappy with the ladies Brad Womack has selected this season on The Bachelor? Were you hoping crazier than a bucket of monkeys Michelle would get further along? Well, there may be redemption around the corner because ABC has just ordered another season for The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. You may think Brad screwed the pooch this round (or you may be normal and just love the show and want more), but there will be some new wealthy he-man who looks like he was ripped straight off the cover of a romance novel handing out roses soon. The bad news is that by “soon” we mean early 2012. Sorry about that.
In the meantime, you can cool your jets with The Bachelorette which — let’s face it — is more fun because the ratio of hunks to women is more in our favor, ladies. And lucky for you all, The Bachelorette will start looking for her man this May. See? That means you’ll only have to suffer a few months a year without the show. How nice of ABC to consider your needs! But wait, there’s more. Keeping with the ABC-centric model, the network looks to their late-night host, Jimmy Kimmel, to reveal the identity of the next Bachelorette tonight on his show after Brad hands out his final rose in the season finale. See, now you have to watch. Those wiley bastards.
