Behind the Scenes of the first episode of Disney+’s ‘The Mandalorian’

‘Star Wars’ is a franchise that people love, and that’s putting it lightly. Now that the Skywalker trilogy is ending, Disney is looking elsewhere to continue the overall idea that is Star Wars. Can they develop a series that people will like that doesn’t include Luke, Leia, Han, Rey, Lightsabers, and that main story, and more so, will people purchase a subscription?

As it turns out yes, yes they can, and yes they will.

‘The Mandalorian’ follows a bounty hunter that we don’t know too much about. He doesn’t say much, he’s great with a blaster, and he’s just trying to collect money. It helps that he’s pretty badass with some great one-liners too.

In the above video, go behind the scenes of Episode 1 and hear from Pedro Pascal about getting the call from Jon Favreau to do “something Star Wars”, Director of the episode Dave Filoni goes into designing the Mandalorian to be familiar to Bobba Fett but different, Producer Jon Favreau explains the difficulties they faced as opposed to his other works, Carl Weathers talks about the West and East themes, and Pedro talks about how Star Wars deals with some real themes.

‘The Mandalorian’ Episode 1 is out now on Disney+ with Episode 2 airing on November 15, 2019.
