Actor and funnyman Bill Murray has challenged top chef Guy Fieri to a virtual nachos contest.
The Lost in Translation star is convinced his recipe for the Mexican snack is tastier than Guy’s and the odd couple will face off on Friday on the Food Network‘s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/FoodNetwork/).
The Nacho Average Showdown will start at 5 pm ET and feature guest judges – and nacho fans – Shaquille O’Neal and Terry Crews.
Fieri and Murray won’t actually be doing the cooking – their chef sons, Hunter Fieri and Homer Murray will be the kitchen devils for the showdown.
The event will raise money for Fieri’s Restaurant Employee Relief Fund, which is helping out-of-work restaurant workers during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Murray and Fieri teased the event last week (May 8, 2020) on The Tonight Show.
“I’m really happy to be a part of this because, Guy, you’re going to get work off of this,” Murray joked.
