Fans of CBS Friday night programming are about to get an unexpected dose of the past. At the last minute CBS decided to pull new episodes of CSI:NY, Blue Bloods, and A Gifted Man and run reruns instead. It looks like you’ll have to watch baseball tonight, but it is America’s pastime. You should probably care a little bit.
Of course, NBC is still running its new programming, consisting of Chuck and Grimm. And if you know Chuck fans, you know they wouldn’t be too happy about their hero’s premeire being bumped to next week. Perhaps NBC is hoping that the lack of competition (other than – ahem – the World Series) will give their series a healthy little boost.
Obviously, Fox’s Fringe will also be M.I.A. as Fox will be busy airing the baseball game. Will all these switcheroos change your viewing plan? Or will you spend this pre-Halloween Friday night doing something fun, like dressing up as a sexy bumblebee and bobbing for apples? That’s what sexy bumblebees do, right?
The World Series airs tonight, Oct. 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET on Fox. Chuck airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and CBS’s block of reruns also starts at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
