The CW was the last of the five broadcast networks to unveil their 2013-14 primetime schedule at their Thursday upfront presentation. They didn’t make any particularly radical changes, though fans of Nikita will be sad to hear that the final season of the Maggie Q actioner is being held for midseason.
Among other changes, Hart of Dixie and Beauty and the Beast are being moved to Monday night, and Supernatural is being moved to Tuesdays at 9. The Carrie Diaries, which will bring in the young version of Sex and the City character Samantha Jones in the next season, moves to Fridays at 8.
Following the much-anticipated Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals at 8:00 is Supernatural. Julie Plec’s third CW show — how is she keeping all these spinning plates in the air? — will follow-up Arrow at 9:00 on Wednesdays. It’s called The Tomorrow People and is being billed as an epic sci-fi saga. Here’s the full lineup. New shows are denoted with an asterisk.
