Fishburne Extends ‘CSI’ Gig

Laurence Fishburne will extend his run on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation with a commitment through the 2010-11 season.

Fishburne two seasons ago replaced outgoing star William Petersen and is gearing up for a season 10 finale that will result in a life-and-death cliffhanger, says The Hollywood Reporter.

With Fishburne front and center, the series has continued to be a solid performer for CBS on Thursday nights.

During the summer, Fishburne will appear in Robert Rodriguez‘s Predators and next year will be seen in Steven Soderbergh‘s Contagion.
