Jason Isaacs Can’t Tell If He’s Dreaming in New ‘Awake’ Preview

AwakeAwake makes its television debut next month, inviting us into the conflicted mind of Michael Britten (Jason Isaacs), a man who cannot figure out which of two realities he is living in is the real one (if either). After getting into a colossal car accident with his wife and son, Britten begins living two parallel lives: one in which his wife (Laura Allen) survived but his son died, and one in which his son (Dylan Minnette) survived but his wife died. Britten lives in one reality, goes to sleep and wakes up in the next…never sure which one is just a dream. Below, Britten speaks with his two psychologists (Cherry Jones and B.D. Wong), who each inform him that “their” reality is not a dream. So who is he to believe?

Awake premieres Thursday, Mar. 1 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
