Jennifer Aniston & Reese Witherspoon promote new drama by taking over breakfast show

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon promoted their new drama The Morning Show by taking over as hosts of U.S. news show Good Morning America on Monday (October 28, 2019).

The stars, who play newsreaders on the Apple TV show, thrilled the live studio audience as they went on-air to co-anchor the breakfast show, and then welcomed regular hosts Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos, who assisted them with reporting duties.

“So we can retire right? We can take the rest of the morning off. You guys take it away,” Stephanopoulos joked.

The Morning Show, which also features Steve Carell, Mark Duplass and Billy Crudup, is based on the book Top Of The Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV, by journalist Brian Stelter.

The show debuts on November 1,2019.
