In an apparent attempt to reveal just how much fat Americans like to laugh at fat Americans, Jersey Shore producer SallyAnn Salsano has created a show called Love Handles for Lifetime. According to The Hollywood reporter, the unscripted reality series will follow “overweight couples attempting to save their relationships and their lives,” because, hey, why not? Of course, President of Lifetime Nancy Dubuc has already said it “couldn’t be any different than Jersey Shore,” but Lifetime is also the channel for women that only seems to produce movies about the rape and murder of women, so, um, her judgment may be a little off. Anyway, in kind of related news, a national survey just revealed that Americans would rather hang out with President Obama than Snooki, so there might be hope for us after all.
