Everyone’s favorite crazy billionaire nerd (not the real Mark Zuckerberg, of course), Jesse Eisenberg, will host SNL on January 29th with musical guest Nicki Minaj. You have to give props to SNL for grabbing two of the hottest people in show business right now as Minaj appears on seemingly every song playing on the radio these days (as she should) and Eisenberg is in serious contention for the best actor Oscar for The Social Network. In my opinion Eisenberg should win because his portrayal of Zuckerberg was simultaneously fearless, cowardly and flat out brilliant. But Colin Firth will probably get it (not that he doesn’t deserve it, he totally does, but I just really like Eisenberg), so oh well. At least Eisenberg gets to host SNL! And with Nicki Minaj of all people. Should be interesting. Or at least better than the upcoming February 5th episode in which Dana Carvey and Linkin Park perform. Woof.
Perhaps SNL favorite Justin Timberlake will make a guest appearance? It would seem like an appropriate time. Bring it on down to Omletteville!
