“When you get off the plane in the Middle East, they give it to you, like Hawaiians give you a lei,” Jon Stewart claimed in regards to the new beard he displayed while Skyping into The Daily Show Thursday night.
John Oliver, a corespondent on The Daily Show for seven years, is in the midst of a 12-week takeover for the host as he directs his first film, Rosewater. The British comedian reassures Stewart that not much has changed since he left except that, to Stewart’s envious bewilderment, they “play softball against the Mets every Monday and Bruce Springsteen comes to play every Tuesday night.”
