Late Night Last Night: David Letterman Ruthlessly Grills Lindsay Lohan About Rehab

It’s no secret that Lindsay Lohan has been ordered by the court to go to rehab — the news is everywhere. In the past few weeks, the media has tirelessly covered the treatment that lies ahead for the young actress. On Tuesday night, David Letterman decided to get as many rehab details as possible out of his guest, Lohan.

Lohan started off by telling Letterman that she will be heading to rehab on May 2, and that she will remain there for three months. But after that, she was less generous with the info. “What are they rehabbing? What is on their list?” Letterman asked.

Lohan glanced sideways, perhaps to look at her publicist for a cue, before she replied, “We didn’t discuss this in the pre-interview.”

But Lohan’s reply didn’t stop Letterman, but she attempted to veer toward the positive: “To be honest, I’m happiest when I’m working and healthiest,” Lohan said. “And I think this is an opportunity for me to focus on what I love in life. I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I think it’s a blessing, not a curse.”

Still, Letterman continued on, asking about Lohan’s addiction problems, a territory that the host and his guest have apparently traversed in the past. “Now I’m the one that’s having the black outs,” Letterman joked Lohan reminded him that they two had discussed this very topic before. “I [should be] in rehab.”
