If you’ve been paying any attention in the past couple of days, then you know there has been a ton of uproar surrounding Melania Trump‘s seemingly plagiarized Republican National Convention speech. Americans were aghast when they realized that huge chunks of Trump’s speech were lifted straight from a speech that First Lady Michelle Obama gave back in 2008.

Admittedly, I spent most of yesterday gleefully perusing my new favorite hashtag on Twitter, #BeckyWiththeBorrowedSpeech. Still, Twitter wasn’t the only place where Mrs. Trump and her husband’s entire campaign were being dragged. Our beloved Stephen Colbert invited Broadway star Laura Benanti to The Late Show  to deliver an impersonation of Melania Trump that rivals Tina Fey‘s Sarah Palin.
