Miley Cyrus has ruled out any kind of return to TV as Hannah Montana because she couldn’t stomach going to work with her dad, Billy Ray, again.

The 24-year-old singer and actress became a teen sensation as Miley Stewart and her alter ego, Hannah, before branching out as a serious pop star in 2011, but now Raven Symone is returning to TV for an update on her That’s So Raven series, the Wrecking Ball hitmaker is being asked if she would ever consider reprising Montana for the small screen.

“I had to go to Disney the other day to promote, and that was, you know, that was the first thing they said, because Raven’s back,” she said during a recent appearance on the Zach Sang Show.

But Miley insists Hannah Montana wasn’t all fun and games: “I didn’t get a school escape like most people. I went to work with my dad!

“That was really hard, every day from, like, 11 to 18… and then I started driving my dad towards the end because I could start driving, and then my grandma went with me. So that was a lot of time spent with my dad and grandma, which is why, when I turned 18, you wondered why I was twerking at the Juicy J show.

“I just spent 10 years everyday with my dad and grandma. I had to break free.”

Hannah Montana was one of Disney’s biggest hits between 2006 and 2011, but the series didn’t exactly make Miley a rich kid – she recently revealed she was the lowest paid cast member on the TV show, even though she was the star.

“I did not grow up spoiled in any way,” Miley told Elle magazine. “I just wanted to be on TV… At one point – they’ll probably kill me for saying it – I was probably the least-paid person on my cast, because I didn’t know any better. I was just like, ‘I can be on Disney! Yeah, I want to do it!’

“My name was Miley on my show, but I didn’t own my name,” she adds. “We didn’t think about that. Like, ‘Yeah, you can use my name on your show, sure!’ My mum started understanding how many people take advantage of a child, so she hired smart people to protect me in that way.”
