Blame it on the baby. Due to Tina Fey’s impending due date, 30 Rock won’t premiere this fall with the other NBC Thursday night. Instead, the lineup will find Community and The Office in their normal slots with Parks and Recreation moved to 8:30 p.m. and the new comedy Whitney in the 9:30 p.m. slot. Prime Suspect will take the 10 p.m. former comedy slot.
Yes, 30 Rock fans, this will be difficult, but it’s alright. Besides with the lackluster episodes at the end of this season, I for one am not all that ramped for more. Perhaps a break is just what the show needs to rejuvenate its episodes.
NBC is also changing things up for Chuck and sending it to the “death” slot at 8 p.m. on Friday night. It makes sense that they’d want to banish the show to the Friday night spot, it’s typically reserved for shows that are on their way out or for shows that have small, but strong followings, like Chuck.
This may seem like bad news for 30 Rock and Chuck fans, but hey, at least they both avoided the axe.
