The Comedy Gods (Hystericus and Laupha) are smiling down on us today. Praise be! Word has come from on the high mountain from a Vulture that Patton Oswalt is developing a sitcom for the fabled Fox! Sing praise! And this shall be the one true show, with nary a multiple camera but a single camera, and it shall be funny. So sayeth the Lord.
Let us read from the scripture for it is said that this new creation will focus on the almighty Oswalt after his wife (of 20 years! How dare she!) leaves him and he must suffer through the trials and tribulations of the dating scene. As Louie beget the laughs, so too shall this television draw forth the laughs and shepherd the people toward Comedy Heaven.
But fear not for Oswalt as he sets off on this epic quest! For the Comedy Gods do not allow their messengers to travel alone! He shall be joined by former Mr. Show writer Scott Aukerman. Many followers of the faith will also recognize Aukerman from his beloved Comedy Death Ray podcast, so too as angels take many forms (for example: a cake), comedy comes in many different shapes.
All praise be to the Comedy Gods. May our sacrifices be worthy as we do in the remembrance of Arrested Development. May it Rest in Peace. Amen.
