‘Prison Break’ = Dunzo?

When Prison Break premiered four years ago no one thought the limited plot would make it past the first season, but the writers defied expectations by reinventing the show time and time again.

Perhaps they took it too far, even for devoted fans, when they moved the cast of characters including Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) to Los Angeles. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the actors have been notified of a two-episode extension this season, a tell-tale sign they might be tacking on an unplanned finale.

The network is tight-lipped about plans for the extra hours, but many speculate they are preparing to conclude the series. Other theories include, Fox running the episodes as bonus material in the spring, creating a two-hour event for next season (similar to 24: Redemption) or using the footage for the DVD.

Fox’s omission of the final six-episodes of the season from the mid-season schedule could also mean bad news for the show.
