Rita Ora May Be Replacing Tyra Banks On ‘America’s Next Top Model’

America’s Next Top Model has been running for what seems like an eternity. The CW series was recently cancelled by the network, but nabbed by VH1 with a promise of a complete overhaul. Part of the show’s makeover is hiring a new host.

Tyra Banks taught us a lot in her career as America’s Next Top Model host and house mother. We still “smize” in our selfies. We also learned to never ever cross Banks because Hell hath no fury. Remember that episode where Tyra broke down and screamed, “I was rooting for you; we were all rooting for you?” What a show.

Tyra is staying on executive producer but officially passing the torch to a new host. According to The Sun, Rita Ora might have already signed a deal with the network to fill Banks’ stilettos. A source said:

“Rita is in a dream world as she’s landed the ultimate gig. She’ll be mixing her two passions of fashion and music and taking over from a TV institution in Tyra.”

According to an insider who spoke to The Sun, they’re hoping the 25-year-old will freshen up the sort of stale series. They said:

Next Top Model bosses wanted to inject some freshness back into the format and they see Rita as the ideal new face. She is releasing a new single later this year to coincide with it.”

Ora recently announced that she would be leaving the judging panel of The X Factor to focus on music, but perhaps hosting one of the most iconic reality shows was too good to pass up.

Do you think Ora would make a good host?
