The Hitman’s Bodyguard stars Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds are set to reteam for a new Quibi animated series.
The pair will lend their voices to writers Jim and Brian Kehoe’s Futha Mucka.
The news was announced by bosses at the streaming service in a comical press release, which reveals the two will star as themselves.
“Futha Mucka will see Jackson play Reynolds’ primary caregiver,” the release states. “When a minor mishap causes Sam to become Ryan’s primary caregiver, s**t gets weird. Ryan is delighted to spend all of his time with Sam. Sam couldn’t be reached for comment.”
The two stars are also set to appear in the sequel to the 2017 film, The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, alongside Salma Hayek. The film was set to be released in August (2020) but has been delayed until next summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
