Ryan Murphy hasn’t been shy about weaving past characters from American Horror Story into current seasons. Sarah Paulson, who’s starred in and survived every season, saw her Murder House character, psychic Billie Dean Howard, return in Hotel. Now, Paulson’s Lana Winters from Asylum will return in Roanoke.

Murphy announced the crossover in a tweet. Of course, he doesn’t even have a profile picture on the social network. How Ryan Murphy of him.

For those of you who don’t remember, Lana Winters was a reporter who went undercover in Asylum to investigate an inmate that was supposed to be the serial killer “Bloody Face.” We’re not sure how this will tie into Paulson’s current character, Audrey Tindall, but with all the layers Roanoke has, we’re guessing it will be confusing, complicated and thrilling all at once.

This won’t be the only crossover among seasons. At EW PopFest, Murphy announced that characters from Murder House and Coven will be returning. We already know that Lady Gaga’s Roanoke character is supposed to be the original supreme from Coven.

How do you think Lana Winters will fit into AHS? Tell us in the comments!
