Seth Myers Uses White House Correspondents Dinner to Skewer Trump

Every year one brave comedian gets up in front of a room of newsmen, celebrities and the president and awkwardly tells jokes that no one in that room seems to be brave enough to laugh at (even though we regular folks are giggling properly), and this year, that dope was Seth Meyers.

Most of his jokes about Joe Biden’s train conductor hat and Anderson Cooper’s impossibly tight tshirts landed fairly well and a few fell deaf ears, but the most interesting reaction came when Meyers took an opportunity to rail on Donald Trump. He shamelessly threw dig after hilarious dig and the only people who weren’t laughing were those sitting within five feet of the Donald himself. While even President Obama was enjoying a belly laugh, Trump remained stoic and angry. Well, if he thought that would help make him any less of a joke, he’d be wrong. The man can’t even laugh at himself in a room where the guy at the podium is taking digs at the President of the United States right to his face. Yeah, good luck on that presidential campaign, Trump. Maybe you can ask Gary Busey to show you a thing or two about humility.

For the record, here’s the full video of Meyers’ speech.
