How do you tell which former SNL cast member is like the cool kid in school? Just count the number of guest stars in his triumphant return and hosting gig. Jimmy Fallon seems to be winning that competition because last night we saw the return of Horatio Sans, Tracy Morgan, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Chris Ketan, Rachel Dratch and even a little visit from Jude Law. Of course, a lot last night revolved around rehashing old Fallon skits like the two idiots from Boston or the Christmas quartet, but Fallon is so likeable I think most of us were just happy to see some remnants of the good old times on SNL. Of course, my favorite was the Weekend Update Joke Off with Poehler, Fey, Fallon and Meyers. There’s nothing wrong with Seth hosting Weekend Update by himself, but having any one of those former Update hosts back behind that desk makes me giddy.
