Take A Look At The New Comedies Coming To ABC

The Upfronts are a time for networks to show what hot new shows are coming so that ad people can buy into it, and more importantly, so can audiences. Yesterday was ABCs event, and the network came with some hard-hitting new comedies, as well as the return of a classic.

‘Alex, Inc’ is a new comedy that Zach Braff wrote, stars, and directs in. Braff plays Alex, a man in his mid-30s with a wife and two kids. Alex makes a wild decision to quit his good job and jump into the world of podcasting his life.

‘Splitting Up Together’ is a comedy that all the staff of ABC are very excited for. Lena (Jenna Fischer) and Martin (Oliver Hudson) have fallen out of love and are getting a divorce, which is completely normal. What’s abnormal about them, is they have decided neither of them will move out, which you can only imagine the comedy that will arise from that situation.

Courtney Rose (Brandon Michael Hall) is a struggling rapper. To get his name out there Courtney decides to do a PR stunt and run for mayor of his small town. The only problem is he wins, and now Courtney, his Mom Dina (Yvette Nicole Brown) and Valentina (Lea Michele) have to help Courtney run the city and make sure he doesn’t run it into the ground.

We knew Roseanne was coming back but the big question was where? Would the show go to Netflix where other shows have been revived, would it return to ABC where it started, or would it find life at,  another network? As it turns out the show will return to ABC with its full cast including Roseanne BarrJohn GoodmanLaurie Metcalf, and Sara Gilbert.
