Prior to his battle and subsequent demise against Oberyn Martell on Game of Thrones, The Mountain aka Ser Gregor Clegane, was a hulking and massive dude. Though he’s always been terrifying AF, as far as faces go, his was pretty normal.
However, after being resurrected by disgraced Maester Qyburn with some sort of creepy ass experiment, we’ve only seen The Mountain draped in full armor and a massive helmet.
Knowing how diabolical Qyburn and his experiments are, we’d hoped that we would never have to see The Mountain’s face…. his deathly eyes were creepy enough. Also, after seeing Septa Unella’s reaction to him sans helmet, we can assure you that we’d rather encounter a White Walker.
Unfortunately for us, actor Hafþór J Björnsson who plays The Mountain, posted a ghastly and super close-up behind-the-scene photo of himself in full Mountain makeup on Twitter. Click to flip if you dare, we just hope you haven’t eaten!
