Watch Performances From The 2016 Kennedy Center Honors

The Kennedy Center Honors takes place annually and honours the best in the arts. This year’s event was hosted by Stephen Colbert and honorees included James TaylorAl PacinoMartha ArgerichMavis Staples, and The Eagles. This one was probably bittersweet, considering it would be the last of the Barack Obama and Michelle Obama would host.

In this first clip, Elle King performs the Staple Singers power anthem “Respect Yourself” with Mavis Staples watching on.

Scent of A Woman was the film that finally netted Al Pacino his Oscar. Costar Chris O’Donnell tributes Pacino with is Tango from the film.

James Taylor’s “Fire and Rain” originally released in 1970 and raised to the top 3 on Billboard’s top 100. Now it’s considered a classic and Sheryl Crow performs.

Sheryl is back for another James Taylor classic, this time it’s the 1977 hit “Your Smiling Face”. It’s got to be awesome to cover a song and watch the original performer actually enjoy himself.

Finally, but not least, is The Eagles celebration. Colombian musician Juanes performs “Hotel California” to the dad’s delight everywhere.

The event doesn’t end there, as the legendary Bob Seger performs The Eagles song Heartache Tonight.
