    Sir Nigel Hawthorne has become the victim of a smear campaign, the BBC reported. Banners were posted throughout Hawthorne's estate calling the actor a liar and warning people to keep away. Hertfordshire police issued a formal warning to the actor's former gardener, Roy Breaker-Rolfe, but he told the Daily Mail newspaper that he was not responsible.
