The entire cast of the 2002 comedy returns for the sequel, which this time round has been sheared of the original's slapstick humor and infused with some insightful character development. Overall, Barbershop 2 is a sweet comedy minus the sap, hilarious yet devoid of crudity, and political without ever being preachy.

A clever romp with something to say about love and marriage, Intolerable Cruelty may not be the Coen brothers' best work, but it's still several steps above the other romantic comedies Hollywood's churned out in recent memory

It's crunch time as networks prepare to premiere brand new seasons of their tried-and-true shows and launch new skeins in hopes of fattening up their viewership. Although the premiere week for the fall 2003 TV season doesn't officially begin until Monday, Sept. 22, some networks have already gotten a head start in the competition.

The seventh annual American Black Film Festival returned to South Beach, Fla., for the second time Wednesday after being held in Acapulco for its first five. Celebs including Cedric the Entertainer, Chris Tucker, Robert Towshend and many more expected to attend the festival, which runs through June 22.
