V addicts were high on True Blood's sixth season premiere last night. The HBO action-packed show glamoured a blood-thirsty audience last night with 4.5 million viewers. Unfortunately the network was hoping that more people were going to be engaged in the bloodbath. The vamp-thriller did not draw the same amount of thirsty viewers as last year's Season 5 premiere, this year the drama had to battle with the NBA Finals. In our opinion, watching crazed vampires, sexy werewolves, and pretty fairies is much more entertaining than watching an old basketball be tossed in a hoop, but then again we're completely obsessed with pop culture.
True Blood's premiere did hold up when compared to Game of Thrones' Season 3 opener, which reeled in 4.4 million watchers. Well, suck on that Game of Thrones. If True Blood mirrors the upward trajectory as the third season of GoT, which held the same 9pm time slot on HBO, the wild vampire-run show will continue to stake audiences with the success its previously held as HBO's flagship series.

Ladies and gentlemen, werewolves and fairies, vampires and shifters: Welcome to the Season 6 Premiere of True Blood. The waiting sucked, but it's finally over… And can you believe we've already been glamoured for six seasons?! Woah.Although it's felt like a Vampire-lifetime since we last were sucked into the blood-ridden town of Bon Temp, the first episode of the season, directed by vampire Bill himself (Stephen Moyer), doesn't skip a heartbeat, and starts up in the gory mess we last found ourselves in: some whacky sh*t going down at The Authority's headquarters. Now let's discuss all those bloody little deatails.
Meet Male-Lilith Bill! After Bill guzzles the whole effing vile of goddess Lilith's blood, he's left as a puddle of bloody goo. Gross! Just when we think Bill's a goner, he is reborn as a fang-bearing male-Lilith (Jason calls him a "naked evil Superman"). The emergence of Lilith-ified Bill sends Eric and Sookie running for refuge. The troubled-trio of Nora, Jason, and Tara, who relinquished Pam and Jessica from the Authority's jacked-up jail, are looking for a way out of the brewing chaos at The Authority, too. Before a blood-drenched and naked Bill can create a blood bath, Eric and Sookie roll up with perfect timing for the rest of their buddies to jump in their car and zoom the hell out of the fire-blazing Authority compound.
R.I.P. Speaking of fleeing from the Authority, Luna and Sam are on a rescue mission to save Emma (who Reverend Newlin had kidnapped to be his little were-pup), but chaos ensues when Luna involuntarily shifted from her disguise as Reverend Newlin to her gorgeous self. We teased that the Grim Reaper was coming for one of the beloved True Blood castmates, and it's here we find out who's saying adios.
The last time Luna shifted, it almost marked her death, but she had the not-so-bright idea to do it again…completely blanking on the fact that maybe you shouldn't try the same sh*t that almost killed you the last time around. Just how Sam's brother Tommy died after shifting too many times, Luna's fate was no friendlier. It was a total tearjerker watching Luna die as Sam promised to look after her Emma. Sam then turns to Lafayette (who's like the best dude to chill with when you need a proper cheering up sesh) for help on hiding Emma now that shifter community has been exposed on live television. Ruh roh!
There's a New Sheriff… Well, Governor In TownGovernor of Louisiana, Truman Burrell, holds a press conference declaring that despite the human's superb Southern hospitality towards the vamp population, the recent spike of human lives lost calls for a new vampire curfew to be enforced and all vampire run businesses to be shut down. Gov. Burrell later sneaks a meeting with a True Blood company executive to form a silent partnership. He claims he'll give the company a bottling facility free of charge for the sake of simply giving vampire's sustenance other than feeding off humans, but eh, we don't really believe that's your sole motivation, Governor. It doesn't seem like a full-scale war vs. vampires is too far down the line. Hide yo kids, hide yo wife! They Grow Up So Fast! After Sheriff Andy Bellefleur knocked up fairy lad Mirella, she left him high and dry with four fairy babes. Considering Andy is nowhere near father of the year status, Arlene and Terry help out with raising the kiddies. Right when you think there are still normal problems in Bon Temps like learning how to change a diaper, Andy's babies drastically sprout from babies to toddlers. Wowza! Full-blood fairies grow up damn fast!I Summon TheeUpon escaping the Authority and Bill mayhem, the crew, comprised of Sookie, Eric, Nora, Pam, Jess, and Tara, (who desperately need a shower since they are decked out in blood) try to make a game plan… but instead tensions rise: Jess get's pissed after hearing Nora suggest that if Bill has indeed resurrected as Lilith, Bill must die. Before Jess can angrily storm off, Bill summons her, which induces some serious torment. Sookie escorts Jess to Bill's mansion where bloody footprints are all over the place - someone seriously needs to call a cleaning service.
Bill is just chilling on the porch until Eric and Nora charge in. Bill leaps but before he can properly attack Eric, Sookie stabs her once beloved! What a twist! This new Bill can clearly take a few stabbings though, he just yanks the wooden stake right out like it was merely a toothpick. So, Bill's no longer just your average run of the mill vamp. (We even learn he has telephonic power. Like what!?) In a powerful scene, Sookie tells Bill that the ole vamp she once knew and loved isgone, and she wants Lilith-y Bill nowhere near her or her pals. Unlike Sookie, Jessica's allegiance to her maker runs strong and she defends Bill and relentlessly sticks by him. (Cue the Pussycat Dolls tune Stickwitu).
I Want My Old Life Back!Eric walks Sookie home and they have a heart-to-heart about Sookie staking Bill to save Eric. They share an intimate moment reminiscing over Sookie's innocent days as the simple Merlott's waitress in the white dress. Eric even does Sookie the courtesy of putting the rights to Sookie's home back in her name. But all the sucking up doesn't seem to cut it, and Sookie ends up rescinding Eric's exclusive invite to her home in an effort to reclaim her once non-vampire filled life.Nothing Wrong With a Three WayAlcide, who's all amped up on V, which is so not the "live above the influence" Alcide we know and love, emerges as the new werewolf to beat. But before he can properly take on the title as packmaster, he first inherits the flesh a.k.a. chows down on the former packmaster's arm, which doesn't sound appetizing in the slightest. And with a werewolf promotion, comes benefits… sexual benefits! After a breathtaking a** shot of Alcide in all his naked glory, he starts aggressively hooking up with one werewomen, Nicole, before Rikki barges in for a little Ménage á Trois action. Besides all the sharing and caring in the works, Rikki makes sure to remind Alcide she's his number one biotch! Fiesty, mama!Farewell Fangtasia With a rift between Pam and Eric since Pam feels completely replaced by Eric's baby sis Nora, Tara tries to steal Eric's spot in Pam's heart… but Pam's not really down with Tara taking the spotlight. Government guards bust into Fangtasia to shut down the vampire joint in accordance to Governor Burrell's order. Tara tries to come to Pam's rescue, proving herself to be a loyal protégé, but winds up getting herself shot in the chest. Oh snap! What's with Tara always having the ultimate level of worst luck? Get In, Loser! Jason's gone cray ever since he accidentally was blasted with a fairy ray and started seeing his dead parents, who he learned were killed by a vampire, Warlow, Lilith's original progeny. Jason hitchhikes after he can no longer tolerate chilling with Sookie and her vampire gang and getting "brain-rapped". Before you think why the f*ck would someone pick up Jason, whose perfectly sculpted jawline is soaked in blood, we soon understand that this isn't just any driver.
Jason, who can't keep his mouth clamped, learns from the eerie driver that Sookie can't hide from Warlow, whose haunted Sookie since we learned last season that Sookie contractually belongs to Warlow. For once in his life, dumb*ss Jason is clever and questions the driver for knowing Sookie's name before he even mentioned it. The creepy driver then mutters "Who the hell do you think I am, Jason?" Jason then fires at the driver thinking he must be Warlow. But then poof! The driver disappears into thin air. So is he Warlow? Is he flat-out a magician? Or is he something else?
Three Girls, One BillJust like Jason, Bill is seeing things! Bill has a quick chat with Jess before her bedtime, which convinces us he still has the heart that Sookie (and we) once fell for... but we are instantly reminded that male-Lilith is no longer plain old Bill. Bill starts hearing whispers and chattering and soon enough faces three blood-lathered Lilith-women that sprint towards Bill and wiggle themselves inside his body…. and we're left with Bill gasping, and me yelling "what the f*ck!"

With a show like True Blood, death is an inevitable occurrence in the vampire-ridden town of Bon Temp. Usually our favorite characters always seem to escape the grim reaper’s weekly visits — but all of that is about to change. When the HBO hit premieres this Sunday, fans will be shocked with a huge death that will set the tone for a heart-pounding sixth season.
So who is the unlucky soul that will be leaving Louisiana for good? We can’t reveal that just yet — but we can tell you that this fan favorite character dies in the most unexpected way possible. Our jaws are still on the floor from this deceiving twist, and we guarantee yours will be too.
When we last saw our favorite bloodsuckers, Bill was chugging the entire vile of the vampire goddess Lilith's blood, and now things have reached a new level of strange for Sookie’s former flame. New powers, erratic behavior, and insane visions are just a few of the side-effects that Bill will be dealing with as Season 6 begins.
While Bill is facing these new changes, Sookie is trying to distance herself from her former beau as much as possible. Let’s face it, he has caused her enough sorrow at this point and she is busy dealing with her own supernatural snags as the creepy old vampire, Warlow, continues to haunt her.
And as for the rest? Here are a few teasers to prepare you for what’s to come: Eric turns his back on his protégée Pam, Jason starts seeing dead people, Sam and Luna team up for a challenging mission, and Alcide learns what being a pack master is more dangerous than he thought. Now that we've witnessed the brutal death of this major character it's clear that the violently jolting series is spiraling into the darkest season we’ve even seen.
Ready for your television screen to drip in blood once more? True Blood bites back with the premiere of Season 6 this Sunday, June 16 at 9 PM on HBO.

On the last season of True Blood, we were so glamoured by the intense chemistry between Sookie and Eric in Bon Temps that we almost forgot that Sookie and her previous vamp lover Bill are married in real life. But with the sixth season of True Blood just around the bend, Anna Paquin (Sookie) and her husband Stephen Moyer (Bill) used the premiere to remind us that they are still in love. How charming! While the too attractive couple keeps details about their family life on the down low, at the bloody red carpet for the HBO thriller's premiere screening, Moyer updated us on his fam's plan for Father's Day and even revealed his twin tots' names in the process. The True Blood hunk told E! News that he plans on cherishing the day by "hanging out with Charlie and Poppy."The Paquin-Moyer fam has been so out of the spotlight as of late, we totally forgot that we never learned the twins' names. With the True Blood premiere on Sunday, June 16, we'd say this is impeccable timing. Follow Cori on Twitter @gimmegimmeCORFollow Hollywood.com on Twitter @Hollywood_com

The names of Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer's twins have finally been revealed - the tots are called Poppy and Charlie. The True Blood stars decided to keep their names and gender a secret since they welcomed the pair last summer (12).

YouTube might've started out as a breeding ground for the Internet's best cat videos, but in the past eight years, it's transformed from viral video hub to a destination for quality original content online. WIGS, a YouTube channel for women started by producers Jon Avnet and Rodrigo Garcia — yes, both men — features TV-quality scripted series featuring big-name stars like Jason Isaacs, Virginia Madsen, Julia Stiles, Chris Messina, Stephen Moyer, and many, many more of your favorite actors.
Lauren, for example, which launches the final four episodes of its second season on Friday, follows Pretty Little Liars star Troian Bellisario as the titular woman, raped by a fellow soldier in Afghanistan, as she fights her accuser in the military's troubled system.
Bellisario tells Hollywood.com she was attracted to the style of storytelling because although it seems like short segments, in the end, her script for the entirety of Season 2 was feature-length. "I think what's fantastic about these vignette style episodes, and what's awesome about the new season, is ... it takes its time. When you put it all together it really is a beautiful, intertwined story."
Garcia says when he and Avnett conceived of the channel, they hoped to harness the Internet's power to creat compelling content. "There has to be a way to explore this for content that's not disposable," he says. "Our only umbrella was a female in the lead. We've just been drawn to whatever material we find good, regardless of whether it's drama or comedy."
Hollywood.com has an exclusive sneak peek inside the channel's one year anniversary party, which also celebrated the launch of the second season of Lauren. The final four epsiodes of Lauren debut Friday, May 17.

The war is on. With Tru Blood shortages escalating, Billith's (Stephen Moyer) rampage on all humans in full force, Jason's (Ryan Kwanten) anti-fanger hate reaching a boiling point, and the growing divide between humans and vampires as a result, Season 6 of True Blood is shaping up to be bloodier than the last five, if that's even possible. And we're starting to believe it just might be. Still, the circumstances don't seem to have shifted too much from our last trip to Bon Temps.
HBO released the teaser trailer for the new season, which will pick back up right in the middle the war Billith escalated in the final moments of Season 5. Sadly, our only indication of the ferocity of this oncoming conflict is a muddle of voices, including Bill, Jason, Sookie, and a few nameless newscasters. We do, however, get to become a little more acquainted with that increasingly precious Tru Blood bottle. Am I the only one who didn't realize the logo involved Chinese characters? (A Google excavation reveals, anticlimactically, that they translate to "True Blood." Riveting.)
True Blood returns Sunday, June 16 at 9 PM on HBO.

It's almost that time. The tempature is changing. The snow is melting. And Bon Temps is slowly making its way into view. True Blood Season 6 will soon be here.
But until June 16 is upon us, we'll survive on the few droplets of footage that HBO so graciously drops upon us, like this first teaser trailer (below) from the new season, which delivers flashes of our protagonist's fates heading into year six in supernatural Louisiana. Now that he's taken over the vampire goddess' role will Billith (Stephen Moyer) kill everyone? Will Sookie (Anna Paquin) fall into Eric's arms and give us a reason to care about her storyline again? Will Alcide (Joe Manganiello) take his shirt off? (Yes, duh.) Is Tara still angry? (Always.) Is that Warlow (the vampire who maybe killed Jason and Sookie's parents)? Does he have any idea what conditioner is?
RELATED: 'True Blood' Season Finale Recap: I'm Melting!
More importantly, what's the meaning of all these ominious voiceovers? "If the humans want war, we'll give them war," says Eric (Alexander Skarsgård). But "there's no one left to protect now," according to Nora. "The tyrant is rising. It is the beginning of the end," says some eerie voice we're assuming is adding Warlow into the Bill/Lilith bloody mix. And of course, none of that really matters because as Billith so joyfully decrees: "We're all gonna burn!" Who's ready for another summer of steamy vampire/werewolf/faerie/whatever else these writers can think up action?
RELATED: True Blood vs. Vampire Diaries
And because this short teaser is over far too quickly, we've conveniently stopped time (a few times) to bring you more lasting looks at Bon Temps' most interesting residents and their Season 6 whereabouts. It may not be June yet, but let's make these moments last as long as we can.
With Bill gone all bloody and evil, will Sookie end up with Eric? This snippet in which they seem to be stuck in an elevator (or at least a tiny room) might yield something steamy. (Please?)
Pam's in trouble again. Yep, those are lasers and we're assuming the bullets aren't your standard issue metal.
Jessica's pout is back in full effect. It looks like she might have caught wind of Bill's fate as she flees the Authority scene with Nora and Jason.
Tara is still pissed at Pam, her mother-lover, or is it lover-mother? (P.S. Is anyone surprised?)
Alcide is still allergic to shirts. Hey, werewolves run warm, okay?
From the looks of this mysterious character, we're dealing with Warlow, the could-be killer of Sookie's parents. Scraggly hair? Check. Wide-brimmed hat? Check. Vampire fangs sneakily peeking out of that beard? Check. And we're thoroughly terrified of this guy.
Jason is clearly still on the warpath (he can't even stop long enough to clean that blood off his face), but who's this old woman whose face he's holding a gun to?
In recent seasons, Lafayette has tended to have his own very separate story line, so whatever's going on in this shot, it's clear he's in trouble once again.
And finally, we have Billith, in all his psychotic glory. Of course, here's hoping his plan for mayhem stems beyond overtaking a circuit breaker.

The TV star has been using her fame to draw attention to the horrors of elephant and rhino ivory poaching in Africa and recently travelled to Kenya with her husband, South African musician Abri van Straten, to film a documentary about the controversy.
She has been doing all she can to boost funds for the Out of Africa charity and she recently picked up a paintbrush to show off her art skills, convincing her pal Moyer to pose in character as vampire Bill Compton for the piece of art.
Bauer van Straten shared a photo of the finished work with her Twitter and Facebook followers on Wednesday (05Dec12) and the painting is now set to be auctioned off on Saturday (08Dec12).
Moyer even signed the canvas and posed with the portrait in a picture on Facebook to help boost bids for the item.
