Universal‘s on the look-out for a young male to play “Edward,” a high school senior in an upcoming comedy starring Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. The movie films in Los Angeles and New York in early 2009 and no prior acting is required to play the 17-year-old teen. Deadline for submissions is Jan. 16, 2009.

The prolific Judd Apatow has lined up a cast of familiar faces for his next stab at directing: Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann will team for the as-yet-untitled project. According to Variety, the comedy should start production in late summer or early fall.
