If there must be a grittier, more human --and, dare we say, even more vulnerable--James Bond, then Daniel Craig is all THAT and a bag of chips. Kudos to the new Bond regime.
Moviegoers who have never experienced Alien on the big screen should not pass up the opportunity to see the re-release of Ridley Scott's Alien: The Director's Cut, while those who have seen it before will be astounded by the 25-year-old film's enduring ability to "brutalize.
If you have to sit through another adaptation of Peter Pan, this version is serviceable, if not original, with enough eye candy and enjoyable performances to make it worthwhile.

Mona Lisa Smile's lesson of the day--that the '50s were an oppressive decade for women--is delivered in an unoriginal manner through such shallow and unlikable characters that its message lacks an emotional punch.

Nominations for the 45th annual Grammy Awards were announced Tuesday morning in New York. Eight artists, including Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, Sheryl Crow, Ashanti, Norah Jones, Nelly, Raphael Saadiq, and Avril Lavigne, tied for nomination leads with five nods each.
