Defecating snakes, breast-puncturing blowdarts and jars of human testicles are just a few of the lowbrow delights to be found in this insipid, surprisingly crude comedy.

  • Moon Review
By: Pete Hammond June 11, 2009 2:16pm EST
It feels like a “moon” trip we’ve taken before in better films, but Sam Rockwell’s tour-de-force performance makes this snail-paced voyage at least watchable.

“A real movie.” That’s the phrase that one of my industry sources used to describe Eagle Eye (Dreamworks/Paramount), which debuts this Friday at 3,500 or so locations and on more than 4,500 screens. The movie reunites Hollywood’s hottest young star, Shia LaBeouf, with his director from the surprise hit Disturbia, DJ Caruso, and industry tracking is pointing toward a spectacular opening.
  • Blunt Escapes Black Widow’s Web
By: Emily Christianson February 24, 2009 11:18am EST
Rumor has it Emily Blunt won’t be starring in Iron Man 2 after all. The Playlist reports that director Jon Favreau was cornered by E! at an Oscar after party and admitted that the British beauty is out as the Black Widow. It turns out that Fox execs exercised their option on Blunt, and she will now be sticking with Guilliver’s Travels instead. Favreau won’t be left empty handed though, because both Scarlett Johansson and Eliza Dushku have both shown interest.

  • Mickey Rourke in 'Iron Man 2'?
    By: Nancy Tartaglione-Vialatte January 08, 2009 6:01am EST
Mickey Rourke is on a roll ... and isn't slowing down! He and Sam Rockwell are in talks to play villains in Jon Favreau’s 'Iron Man 2', it was reported late yesterday. Although details of the script for the Justin Theroux-penned sequel are scant, 'The Hollywood Reporter' says word is Rourke would play a Russian heavy named Ivan who becomes Whiplash. 'Variety', however, contends the villain goes by the moniker the Crimson Dynamo – and the Internet fanboys appear to agree.
