Drake Bell: 'Amanda Bynes is fine and healthy'
June 11, 2013 5:04pm ESTActor Drake Bell has defended his pal Amanda Bynes amid growing concerns for her mental state, insisting the actress is "good" and "healthy". The Hairspray star has hit headlines for all the wrong reasons of late, following a string of driving incidents, months of bizarre behaviour in public, her recent arrest for drug charges and her outbursts on Twitter.com, taking aim at celebrities including Rihanna, Courtney Love and former friend Lance Bass. However, Bell, who co-starred with Bynes on her Nickelodeon programme The Amanda Show from 1999, claims there is no cause for concern. He tells America's OK! magazine, "Amanda and I are close... I talk to her every day. She's a sweetheart. I had lunch with her yesterday, and she's brilliant. She's good, and she's healthy... She's in a place right now where she is searching. She's ready to be her own person, and do her own thing... She is a girl who is finding herself. "I'm like, 'Dude, you come off crazy.' She's like, 'I know, but I don't mean to. I just changed the way I look'. "Anytime I've ever been with Amanda, she's totally coherent, totally there, totally everything."

The Hole rocker told U.S. radio host Howard Stern on Thursday (30May13) that Frances Bean Cobain, 20, was offered the role of Bella Swan in the films, but snubbed the opportunity because she objected to the vampire storylines. Love told the host, "When she was 13 she was offered Twilight, she was offered (the part of) Bella in Twilight. Someone just saw a picture of her in a magazine and sent me the script for Twilight. She was like, 'That's a sexist Mormon piece of s**t'. She was 13. It would have destroyed her life." Stewart played the role of Bella in the five Twilight movies, which have grossed more than $2 billion worldwide.

May 30, 2013 12:21pm ESTAmanda Bynes has launched a vicious attack on celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, demanding he "stop living" and kill himself after he posted an article suggesting the troubled actress had been spotted at an indoor trampoline park. The 27 year old actress has been lashing out at gossip about her erratic behaviour and legal issues in recent months, taking to her Twitter.com page to blast reporters, bloggers and fellow celebrities for raising concerns about her mental health. Perez Hilton, a former friend, has had the worst of the backlash after he urged the Hairspray star's parents to step in and seek out help for the embattled star. And now Bynes has taken aim at Hilton again after he shared an eyewitness' blurry picture of a brunette, purported to be Bynes, having fun at Sky Zone trampoline centre in Buffalo, New York. She fumed, "THAT'S NOT ME! I'm so sick of fake fans such as Perez Hilton! Send the picture to me privately first to confirm that it's me! I've never been to SkyZone! That looks nothing like me! I don't own a brown wig!" The Hairspray star then continued her tirade by tearing apart the gay blogger for his looks and his lifestyle. She wrote, "@perezhilton no one wants to s**k your d**k! Stop living! Kill yourself! I look sooooo much better than the girl you hired to look like an awful cheeky version of me! So I'd say F**k You but no one wants to! I just say keep living in your s**tty existence leaching (sic) off of stars who you look, sound, and act nothing like (sic)!" Hilton has yet to speak out about Bynes' shocking comments, but took a screen grab of her hateful words and shared it with his Twitter followers on Thursday morning (30May13). Meanwhile, bosses at the Sky Zone centre have confirmed that the actress did pay them a visit on Wednesday (29May13). One staff member tells In Touch magazine, "She was at the Sky Zone Buffalo location yesterday at 7pm. She was there for about an hour. She was jumping on the trampoline and she was pleasant to the staff. "I know she says she wasn't there but we can confirm she was. She was jumping on the trampoline and that’s all she did."

The Hairspray star was taken into custody on 23 May (13) and charged with marijuana possession, attempted tampering with physical evidence and reckless endangerment after reportedly throwing a bong out of the window of her apartment as police raided her home following reports she had been smoking pot in the building's lobby. A number of the 27 year old's fans took to the social networking site to defend Bynes, despite her series of bizarre behaviour leading up the event, prompting Teigen to question the troubled star's mental health and online support system. She tweeted, "The fact that Amanda Bynes has any 'support' to retweet is really unsettling. Support people with mental illness, yes. But don't condone/enable scary and poor behavior." The comment prompted an angry Bynes to issue a nasty response: "@chrissyteigen Ur not a pretty model compared to me. I signed to Ford models @ age 13. I don't look up to u beauty wise. I'm far prettier than u! I'm offended that you're saying I have a mental illness when I show no sign of it, but thankfully not one man that wants me wants you and you are an old ugly model compared to me! You look 45! You're not pretty so I'm not intimidated by you!" She added, "I think you're jealous that you're just an ugly model whos (sic) career is uninspiring! I don't respect you! You're no beauty queen! I'm a beauty queen!" The Sports Illustrated beauty later begged her fans to ignore the post and not get caught up in the drama, adding, "I never ask anything of you guys but please. I don't need defending and please stop writing her. It's not funny, it's sad... Wish the best for her, truly." The Twitter attack comes just days after Bynes slammed both Rihanna and Courtney Love in online rants.

The former Hole star is embarking on a comeback with a band full of guys after failing to persuade women to sign on for her latest venture. She tells Bust magazine, "I put an ad on Craigslist (listings website) that said, 'Band in the style of Hole looking for bassist in the style of Melissa Auf der Maur'. "I got exactly one response. There's just not a lot of chick bass players." And she warns fans not to hold out hope for a Hole reunion because she has fallen out with guitarist Eric Erlandson and doesn't have any plans to revisit the past. She adds, "I've been offered money to do an oldies sort of thing. It's just not me. "I don't mind making a crowd happy. I still really like Malibu. I play Miss World sometimes. I don't like Doll Parts anymore; it's just a simple song, like three chords, and it drives me nuts."

The Hairspray star's bizarre behaviour has hit headlines over the last few months and she was back in the news again last week (ends26May13) when she was arrested in New York on drugs charges. She has since posted a series of long-winded rants on her Twitter.com page criticising the police and her parents among others, and claiming she is planning to undergo cosmetic surgery on her nose and become a "singer/rapper". The Twitter meltdown has drawn the attention of Love, who was once well known for her social networking outbursts, and the Hole star has sent a message to the actress urging her to sort herself out. In a Twitter message directed at Bynes, Love writes, "Amanda Bynes pull it together dude." Love's Twitter rampages became notorious and she was even sued by a fashion designer in 2011 over a series of derogatory tweets. Bynes was detained by cops in Manhattan on Thursday (23May13) and is facing charges of marijuana possession, attempted tampering with physical evidence, and reckless endangerment for allegedly throwing a bong out of the window of her apartment building.

Schaefer, who hosts MTV's late night show Nikki & Sara Live and won two Emmy awards for her work as the Head Blogger for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, knows funny. To ease us back into the drama-filled "journey" before Desiree's season begins on Monday, May 27, we spoke to Schaefer about her love of the franchise and her all-time favorite moments. Hollywood.com: Why do you still watch The Bachelor/Bachelorette after all these years?Sara Schaefer: This show, to me, is one of the most hilarious shows on television. I love watching a new set of crazy people play this game we've all become so familiar with — the roses, the helicopter rides, the word "journey." I love deconstructing it and analyzing it each season. What annoys you the most about The Bachelor/Bachelorette?Not much really, because the more cheesy and over-the-top it gets, the more I love it. But, I will say, sometimes it feels SO constructed and so fake that I'd love it if a cast member revolted and said what we're all thinking (and it wasn't edited out). It would be glorious. Who is your favorite Bachelor or Bachelorette and why? And least favorite?Favorite Bachelor: Ben [Flajnik]. HEAR ME OUT. I would not date this guy in a million years. But his season was my favorite because Courtney was HILARIOUS. I mean, the feelings of rage this woman was able to conjure up in me. The best. Favorite Bachelorette: Ali [Fedotowsky].
