Walk the Line arguably boasts two of the most dazzling, Oscar-worthy performances of the year from Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon. It's just a shame the biopic isn't as brave. After all, Johnny Cash wasn't "The Man in Black" just for his wardrobe alone.

North Country isn't for those short on patience or time. But for the rest of us, the superb acting and relevant theme makes it more than worth it.

As yet another underdog/family flick that tugs mercilessly at our heart strings, Dreamer just doesn’t offer anything new and exciting in this well-worn genre.

Part thriller, part mind-bending absurdity, Stay will definitely leave you scratching your head. But try to stay until the end--it might make up for the rest of it.

As one of the best noir crime thrillers since L.A. Confidential, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is also going to make you laugh and laugh.

For the guys, this movie may be just as painful as going shoe shopping with a lady friend. Yet, it's refreshing to see Shirley MacLaine still has a bit of Irma la Douce left in her. Maybe she could keep the cast at her retirement community and do Cocoon: The Next Generation.

Waiting is a mix of perverse highs and hopelessly pathetic lows. Still, there's a few more of the former than the latter, enough to force a depraved smile. Just be sure to steer clear of the buttered popcorn at the concessions.

Granted, it's a sports movie about golf. But with winning performances, fancy camerawork and a classic root-for-the-little-guy scenario, The Greatest Game Ever Played tees off with the best of them.

Just Like Heaven is sweet enough for some but it's going to be "just like hell" for boyfriends who are dragged kicking and screaming to this boring chick flick.
