I guess if you were a fan of the TV show, this foolhardy Dukes of Hazzard upgrade may appeal to your baser senses. Or it could just remind you how ridiculous it was the show ran for six seasons in the first place.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner got married last week, reports the ASSOCIATED PRESS. Affleck, 32, and Garner, 33, got married on Wednesday at the Parrot Cay resort in the islands of Turks and Caicos.

Between the two of them, Ridley Scott and Orlando Bloom have picked up their swords for Gladiator, Troy and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. And that's the problem. If the intriguing but ultimately derivative Kingdom of Heaven had arrived before these recent period epics, it may have stood a better chance of enthralling us.

How far off the mark is a film when even the prospect of watching Paris Hilton stalked, terrorized and violently snuffed--in a red bra-and-panty set, no less--fails to viscerally deliver its audience-pleasing promise? Way off.
