Anna Nicole Smith's young daughter is set for a bumper payday after a U.S. judge ruled the six year old is entitled to sanctions from the estate of the late model's billionaire former husband, J. Howard Marshall. The oil tycoon was married to Smith for a year when he died in 1995 and the busty blonde fought his son and other family members for a large cut of his fortune up until her passing from an accidental drug overdose in 2007.
Lawyers for her estate kept up the legal fight, but they were dealt a bitter blow in 2011 when a Supreme Court Chief Justice in Washington, D.C. overturned a prior ruling to give the tragic beauty's family $475 million (£306.5 million).
The case returned to court this week (begs27May13), and there was good news for Smith's relatives - U.S. District Judge David O. Carter found that Marshall's estate representatives had used unsavoury tactics to hide crucial documents from Smith's lawyers during the lengthy legal battle, and ordered the executors to pay sanctions to the model's daughter, Dannielynn.
Phil Boesch, lawyer of Smith's estate, tells Forbes.com, "This is a complete vindication of Anna Nicole's rights, and a total condemnation of what was done to her. We are confident that the amount Anna's estate and daughter Dannielynn will finally be awarded will be fair and substantial."
Reports suggest the child - Smith's son with her lover Larry Birkhead - could receive as much as $49 million (£31.6 million).
Ironically, Smith's romance with the oil tycoon will be detailed in a new TV movie, Anna Nicole, which will air in America in June (13).

They said it would never work. They were afraid something as sophisticated and time-tested as opera couldn't withstand the force of former reality show personality and pop culture phenomenon Anna Nicole Smith. They were wrong. So wrong, in fact, that they (whoever they are) can go ahead and eat their words: Anna Nicole, Mark-Anthony Turnage's opera about the fascinating, late celeb is coming to Brooklyn in September, according to the New York Times.
RELATED: Elton John's Biopic Musical is Coming
Smith, who died in 2007 of a prescription drug overdose, lived a life that entertained celeb culture fans for years. The former Playmate and model married 89-year-old oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall in 1994, sending fans of all things unbelievable into a frenzy. She later nabbed her own reality show, which was promoted with the most honest tagline ever: "It's not supposed to be funny. It just is."
How will all of this nonsense fit into this opera? Will it be funny... intentionally? Or will it be a sensitive portrait of a young, former waitress from Texas who somehow morphed into one of America's most controversial stars by the time she was 27 years old? Perhaps it's a bit of both? That's what audiences at the show's first run in London's Royal Opera House thought of it, anyway.

The opera will open the Brooklyn Academy of Music's New Wave Festival this fall, but it stands to be determined whether or not American audiences will warm to the Jerry Spring Musical composer's take on the former tabloid queen.

First off, we can all now breathe that collective sigh of relief — after a three month hiatus from The Walking Dead, it has been confirmed that Daryl Dixon, exploder of ovaries (just ask him), lived through the "fight to the death" with Merle. Unfortunately, Merle did too. And now, #TheWalkingDixons are on a path through the Walker's Woods, away from the Grimes Gang and Woodbury, with no one to lean on but each other (which is rather unfortunate for Daryl, as no one wants to lean on Merle). What's next for the crossbow-wielding redneck heartthrob? A lot, according to actor Norman Reedus.
RELATED: It's Daryl's Time to Fight on 'The Walking Dead'
"Daryl has it in him to just want [The Governor] dead," Reedus says. "Daryl is the type of guy that, when he gets his mind set on something, he's just going to make it happen. He's more than capable of having bouts of rage. I don't know that [the rage] would break him, but it would make him hell-bent on getting revenge."
Good! Because when the Governor (David Morrissey) put Daryl and Merle (Michael Rooker) in that death pit, it set in motion the events that would inevitably lead Daryl away from his Grimes Gang. But don't count on them being apart for long — Reedus makes it clear that, despite his actions during tonight's episode, Daryl's heart is still very much with the group.
"Daryl has become his own man, now," Reedus says. "He was destined to become another Merle. I've always played him like he was embarrassed about who he was going to be, and he was trapped in that world. This is [Daryl's] opportunity to become somebody new, in a way — he didn't plan on it, but having this world around him has given him a new sense of self-worth that he wouldn't have gotten otherwise. He's a different guy now."
RELATED: 'The Walking Dead' is Deadliest Show on TV
Which doesn't necessarily mean that he'll take over the group — even though Rick is bananagrams insane (did you see him talking to that zombie-fied invisible Lori?), Reedus says that Daryl is not quite ready to make that step. "Daryl doesn't want to take over the group," he says. "He doesn't want to take on that responsibility. He doesn't want to sit around and talk to people about their feelings, and make plans, and have that on his head."
But does Daryl want to do... you know... with Carol? After tonight's episode, her feelings are pretty clear. But Reedus doesn't feel that his character has enough game to make it happen. "If [Daryl and Carol] hook up, she's got to make the first move," he says. "I don't want to play that like, 'Hey babe, come here.' I'd rather play it like, 'What are you doing? Stop!' That'd be super interesting. All of the ovaries [would explode.]"
Err, let's take a step back. Because a moment before, Reedus and I had been talking about that infamous moment where he held baby Asskicker, which has become an Internet meme, and may or may not be my Twitter background. Reedus, who previously did not really understand the world of memes, and who largely relies on costar Chandler Riggs (Carl — the child) to help him out with technology, was surprised by all of the attention.
"People freak out when you hold a baby," he says. "I've seen a bunch of pictures of that — [women talking about] the ovaries exploding, and all that stuff." [Ed. note: Weird.] "The thing about that character is he wears his heart on his sleeve. He trusts people. The guy cares. He's never had an opportunity in his life to care before. I think that maybe that comes through, and that's why these so-called memes happen, and stuff like that… but, I don't know." [Ed. note: I think your biceps may also be involved.]
In conclusion, Reedus wanted me to relay that the second half of the season would continue at the breakneck pace of the first — in fact, he says things get even faster now that the Dixons have left the Grimes Gang. "It's a crazy ride," he says. "The rest of the season is mind-blowing, what we get away with. Hold on to your ovaries!"

Um, gross. To get that image out of your head, or to stop your ovaries from exploding, we will leave you with one final plea from the man, the myth, the meme behind Daryl Dixon: Leave Carl alone!
"He's a kid, growing up in a zombie apocalypse," Reedus says. "Cut him some slack. We did that to like, Anna Nicole Smith. We hated her and made fun of her, and then she died. And it's like, 'Look like we did.' And I love Chandler. He helps me with my electronic stuff. I'm like, 'How do I get this app to work?' and he's 'Ugh, give me it.'"

The late Playboy pin-up's home in Studio City, Los Angeles was put on the market for $1.7 million (£1.06 million), but sold for $400,000 (£250,000) less than the asking price.
The five-bedroom property was where Smith shot The Anna Nicole Show from 2002-2003.

Dannielynn recently shot a series of adverts for the kids collection of Guess, the same clothing firm that launched the busty blonde's career 20 years ago, and images from the campaign were released this week (begs26Nov12).
The pictures led gossips to worry the tot will end up like her troubled mother if she follows in the same career path, but now Birkhead has assured fans Dannielynn, who was just five months old when Anne Nicole died of an accidental overdose in 2007, is just trying to forge a posthumous relationship with the parent she never got to know.
He tells U.S. breakfast show Good Morning America, "Dannielynn has always looked up to her mum's image and said that her mum's an angel, and I think this is kind of Dannielynn's way of paying tribute to her mum in her own special way. To see her mum's picture next to hers as a Guess girl and say, 'Hey, I was a Guess kids girl and my mum was a Guess girl' - that might be her only connection with her mum."
And her dad insists the modelling stint was just a one-time gig: "My goal for her is to be a child and just do what all kids do."
