There’s no true grit to be found in James Mangold’s fun but safe Western remake. Nitpicking, however, is no way to treat a movie that gives us two heavyweights like Russell Crowe and Christian Bale on top of their games.

The best scenes are in the trailer. A dim supernatural thriller that combines existential angst with teenage trauma and comes up a loser.

Idlewild goes for broke and often gets there. But it’s an absolutely beautiful disaster, one with no shortage of talent, ambition or future stars, both in front of and behind the lens.

Curious George certainly caters to the six and under set. But take comfort in knowing that bolstered by rich animation, comic antics and a pop soundtrack, Curious George is an adorable and heartening adaptation that does the classic children’s tale justice.

Although bolstered by individual moments of pure hilarity and ribaldry from the entirely engaging cast, Ocean's Twelve doesn't quite measure up to the effortlessness of Eleven. The film is just too smart and twisty for its own good.

Unlike its innovative predecessor, director Victor Salva's Jeepers Creepers 2 falls prey to the slasher syndrome. The mystery of the Creeper has all but vanished here and audiences have nothing to look forward to except what method the Creeper will use to pick off the next underdeveloped character
