  • Kidman opens up about fertility struggle
    By: WENN.com Source February 21, 2011 4:00am EST
The Moulin Rouge! star welcomed baby daughter Faith Margaret - her second with husband Keith Urban - in December (10), via a gestational carrier. Kidman insists she "desperately" wanted to fall pregnant again after the birth of daughter Sunday Rose in 2008, and was forced to turn to surrogacy to complete her family. She tells Australia's 60 Minutes show, "Anyone that's been in the place of wanting another child or wanting a child knows the disappointment, the pain and the loss that you go through trying and struggling with fertility. Fertility is such a big thing, and it's not something I've ever run away from talking about. "We were in a place of desperately wanting another child. This opportunity arose for us, and I couldn't get pregnant."

"You never know, we might try for another one." NICOLE KIDMAN reveals she and husband KEITH URBAN are considering adding one more child to their brood. The couple's second daughter, Faith Margaret, was born via a surrogate in December (10).

The Aussie star picked up her third Academy Award nod for Rabbit Hole when the nominees were announced last month (Jan11), and instantly wept when she heard the news. But she had to put her emotions to one side after two-year-old Sunday Rose was left baffled and upset by her mum's tears. Kidman tells People.com, "Poor Sunday. They said my name, and Keith (Urban) was like 'Yeah!' and jumping around the kitchen. And Sunday is like, 'What's happening? Why are you crying?' Because I was crying. "She said, 'Why are we sad?' I said, 'No. We're not sad, Sunday. We're happy.' So, that would be my memory of this nomination - my daughter and my husband jumping around the kitchen."

"We actually go to this place in Nashville called The Copper Kettle. It's like a meat and three, which means there's some form of meat and three vegetables, real down to earth. We don't like to jump lines. It's not cool, we just like to be like the locals and get no special treatment." NICOLE KIDMAN insists she and her husband KEITH URBAN don't expect VIP treatment.

"I was really damaged and not sure whether that was ever going to happen again to me. I certainly never thought I'd have a baby at 41. But we never know what's around the corner." NICOLE KIDMAN doubted whether she would find love again after her split from TOM CRUISE in 2001. The actress is now married to country singer KEITH URBAN.
  • Kidman and Urban explain baby name
    By: WENN.com Source January 31, 2011 6:15am EST
The couple welcomed their second child, Faith Margaret, in December (10) after she was delivered by a "gestational carrier". Urban has now revealed their battle to provide a sibling for daughter Sunday Rose inspired the newborn's name. He tells Access Hollywood, "Just the way she came into our world - we needed to have every bit of faith we could muster. It was completely out of our control. We just kept saying, 'We gotta have faith, we gotta have faith. She's going to be fine.' And we just thought, 'What a perfect name for her'." The baby was named Margaret after Kidman's paternal grandmother, who welcomed a child at the age of 49. The actress adds, "Margaret is the name of my dad's mother, my grandmother. She had her last baby when she was 49, so, she's my inspiration." Kidman also reveals little Sunday Rose is overjoyed to have a sister, adding: "She's so into (Faith) and she's crazy about her. We really wanted Sunday to have a sibling, you know, so, so now we've got Sunday and Faith Margaret... we've got our hands full! We're really happy."

"I wanted to be able to tell everybody because I was so excited about her. We just decided this was our thing together. It kind of just perpetuated itself. It protects her and it protects everyone in the situation." NICOLE KIDMAN struggled to keep the news of her surrogate baby secret. Kidman and husband Keith Urban welcomed Faith Margaret last month (Dec10).

"I actually find the Country Music Awards are the most fun of all the awards because you have a real sense of community down there. Most of the people who are in the country music industry live in Nashville, so they all know each other and it is very tight and very supportive." NICOLE KIDMAN enjoys the country music prizegiving more than Hollywood ceremonies, thanks to her singer husband KEITH URBAN.
  • Kidman's nervous Christmas over baby wait
    By: WENN.com Source January 21, 2011 6:15am EST
The Hollywood couple made a surprise announcement earlier this month (Jan11), revealing they became parents for a second time on 28 December (10) when a surrogate mother gave birth to their baby girl. Kidman has now spoken out for the first since becoming a mother again, and admits the couple had a nervous wait for news over the festive period. She tells the Australian Women's Weekly magazine, "We spent Christmas on tenterhooks and after Faith Margaret was born on December 28, a healthy eight pounds, nine ounces, we spent New Year's on cloud nine. We have been having a wonderful bonding experience with Faith Margaret and feel truly blessed." In the interview, Kidman also insists she doesn't pay any attention to those who criticise her life choices, adding, "I think I'm at a point where I've just had so many things said about me that I just ignore it. I'm 43 now. I live my life knowing who I am and knowing that it will play out over however long it is that I have left to live. It's my life. It's my whole life, and I'll lead it how I choose." The couple has a daughter, Sunday Rose, who was born in 2008, while Kidman also has two adopted children, both teenagers, from her marriage to Tom Cruise.
