Gigli, the box-office flop starring former real-life couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, earned nine nominations today for the 24th Annual Razzies, honoring the worst films of 2003.

Despite the calamity that is Gigli star Ben Affleck seems to be taking its critical and commercial failure in stride.
Martin Brest, the director of Meet Joe Black, will return to filmmaking with Gigli, a project he scripted that will star Pearl Harbor lead Ben Affleck. Brest has not been behind the camera in three years--and has not directed a film he wrote himself in over 20 years, since 1979's Going in Style. Gigli tells the tale of a mobster (Affleck) who kidnaps a district attorney's mentally challenged brother.
