Reuters is reporting that the actor died of natural causes after a short illness. Wednesday in North Hollywood, Calif., a truck containing 9,600 screener tapes of the CBS sitcom was swiped, today's Daily Variety reports. The videotapes -- each containing four episodes of the series -- were to be mailed to Emmy voters ostensibly to remind them what a great show "Everybody Loves Raymond" is. A new round of dubs has already been ordered. Today, Los Angeles police had no details on the crime. Series exec producer Phil Rosenthal, in Variety, joked that he doubted "the intelligence of thieves who would steal 9,600 tapes of free TV."
