Singer Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes and NFL wide receiver Andre Rison will not get married Thursday in Atlanta, The Associated Press Reports. Lopes, a member of the R&B group TLC, had reserved the Atlantic Botanical Garden for the wedding and Rison confirmed the date last month during a visit to an area radio station. Lopes will be in Los Angeles for a video shoot on Thursday. A spokesperson for Lopes said he still expects the couple to marry. The two broke up in 1994 after Lopes was arrested for setting fire to the home they shared in Alpharetta, but eventually got back together. Rison played for the Oakland Raiders last season.

Lloyd Braun, president of the entertainment division of rival ABC, which won the ratings crown last year and narrowly lost out this year, told The Associated Press Thursday: "It's probably the most competitive season we've seen in a very long time. ... All of us are one big hit away from being No. 1. We didn't have the big hit this year. CBS did." Braun was referring to ABC's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, which dominated the ratings last year and CBS's Survivor, which overwhelmed the competition this year.

Singer Lisa 'Left-Eye' Lopes of TLC will wed football star Andre 'Spiderman' Rison on July 5, Rison announced Wednesday on WHTA-FM in Atlanta. According to Variety, McMahon, who is co-owner of the rookie football league along with NBC, admits the XFL will go bankrupt unless high-exposure coverage of the games continues. However, a WB spokesman said: "The WB is not interested in getting the rights to the XFL and neither are any of our affiliates.''
